The Order Of Time

The Official World Of Warcraft Guild Site

Rules

1.  Have fun!

We have fun. Period. We want a quality atmosphere. Order of Time does not stand for drama, immature attitudes, huge egos, or greed. We all pay to have fun, and to Order of Time crappy people do not equal fun.

2. We get serious for 9 raiding hours a week. (Variably from Monday - Wednesday 8pm - 11pm)

We don't have attendance requirements (but if you sign up, show up). We don't yell at you if your cat just had kittens, your wife just had a baby and the real life is just staybing you in the teeth so you need time off. But if you join to raid we expect you to put the time and effort forth to actually raid.

3.  We are family-friendly (PG-13)

We don't condone swearing/profanity in guildchat, or in Vent. BUT we aren't here to baby-sit a child either. All members under the age of 18 must have a relative or someone in the guild to vouch for them. Please believe that means some adult content will be in guild chat and on Vent, but for the most part, it's PG-13.

4.  Membership

Once you leave the guild, you left the guild. Period. We do not reinvite anyone for any reason. We used to, and learned it never works out, so this is now strictly enforced. You certainly have the right to leave, but please think twice before you do so.

We take loyalty, and guild hopping seriously around here. The idea is that we want to be friends as well as guildies, so we put a lot of time, effort, comaraderie, and expense into helping, explaining, and training our people. When someone chooses to leave, we see it as a loss, we put an investment into our members so to speak, and so if you want to take that investment elsewhere, while you have the right to, we don't see a reason to allow you to use us again.

5. Guild Bank

Keepers and above in rank may request items in the back as well as donate. If you are a New Recruit, you will have to wait until your 2 week trial period is up to gain access.

The guild bank contains armor, weapons, materials for skills, and potions, scrolls, etc. If you have a need, please let an officer know, in a whisper, an email, or in guild chat. If you wish to donate to the guild bank, please feel free to do so, a guild vault is found in any major city's bank area.

6.  Alts

Alts are welcome! Please keep in mind that after 2 months of inactivity any and all alts will be removed from the guild without warning.

7.  Ventrilo

We have a Ventrilo Server which is for members of OOT and friends of the guild. We expect the same level of respect to be shown on Vent as is in Guild Chat.

8. Other little things we do not abide.

Run Throughs - When a low level main toon asks for a comparatively extreme high level to run them through an instance so they can get loot, quests, xp, etc.

Allow me to address why we do not spend our time on this. First, barely any XP is actually gained, and more real life XP is actaully lost. We want our people to be quality players when they reach higher levels. We want them to know their class, and how it works, know their way around instances, and it is essential that everyone learn how a group build is important, how the mechanics of running an instance are handled, and loot rules are abided by. Ultimately, running someone through instances robs them of ALL of this, and we've seen too many level 70s who have no clue how this stuff all works in the game because it was all handed to them at a lower level, and they never had to work to learn it. So basically, we do not hand lower levels instances when we feel it really will not benefit them in the long run.

General Greed - We are a generous guild. Do not be greedy.

We share and help a lot and simply ask you are not a greedy loot whore. Give back to your guild. Pass on the generosity to others. Donate your time, mats, etc, and you will reap the same reward. Also, don't try to sell stuff in guild chat, take it to the AH if you need the money.

9. Ranks

New Recruit - the rank you get when you enter the guild - probationary for 2 weeks. Once 2 weeks has passed, and we've seen how you play, you've seen how we play, we hear your jokes, you hear ours, etc. During this time, we will ask you to come online read the website, and probably run with us a bit. A GM or officer will take the time to introduce you to the guild, and answer any questions. No alts are allowed at this rank, and guild bank access is disallowed.

Keeper - The guild's most basic rank without being a new member. Here you have the ability to change your profile in the guild window, and introduce an alt to the guild.

Veteran - These are Keepers with longevity and experience. These very loyal members know their way around the game and have proven themselves worthy of more responsibility.

Guardian - This rank is for those who serve the guild in many ways, clearly having the guild's best interest at heart. Does not carry the responsibilities of officer or raid leader, but could potentially be leaned on for these if necessary.

Raid Leader & Raid Assistant- A Raid Leader leads raids (and other runs on occaision). To be respected like an officer. A Raid Leader has guild bank access for raiding supplies and their own Ventrilo channel.

Oracle - Officers. Officers have the ability to alter notes in profiles, use officer chat, manage the guild bank, and invite people. They can alter the Message of the Day, lead runs, and serve the guild in general.

Guild Master - There is one person who holds this rank, but Amerine, Knightshayde, & Splotches are the 3 toons. GM's can do pretty much anything, from invite to uninvite, promote, demote, pwn, and serve the guild as necessary.
